We have now reached a point in society where political correctness has demanded, and will receive, the blood of innocent Americans. I live in a city where billboards and advertisements tell citizens “If you see something, say something” yet if I do report suspicious activity to the authorities I am exposing myself and my family to financial ruin at the hands of terror apologists.

I spent three weeks at Wesleyan University recently, where I was bombarded by liberal pablum daily and watched as Islamists quietly infiltrated the small Connecticut town that houses the university. I listened in horror as an Episcopalian priest lectured his class mates on how they didn’t understand that Islam was in fact a matriarchal religion and women were better off in Islamic countries than the “media” (read Jews) would have you believe. I once sat in a class with a Muslim convert who joyously described her trip to Pakistan with her husband’s British friends. I watched local Muslims put up anti-American, anti-Semitic fliers all over that town and if I reported any of this to authorities as the kind of suspicious activity that Americans should be alert for, the Democrats believe I should be sued.

This is pure intimidation on the part of C.A.I.R. and their Democrat toadies. This puts all of us, left and right, in danger. Terrorism cannot be deterred retroactively, terror plots cannot be broken up after the fact. Every American should be able to report something suspicious to the authorities in good faith without the fear that they’ll be dragged into court and bankrupted by vengeful jihadis in an effort to intimidate future good Samaritans. No American will come forward with information about what they think is suspicious behavior, and I don’t blame them. I won’t. I can’t afford to.

But that’s the point, isn’t it? My classmate’s frequent trips to Pakistan with a bunch of British Muslims is beyond suspicious, but I can’t take the chance that I’ll get sued if I pursue it with authorities. I can’t spend all my money fighting a protracted court battle, so I’ll shut up. And when a dirty bomb is detonated at Wesleyan’s next commencement people will ask why the government wasn’t watching the Muslim converts who were in Pakistan so often. The answer will be because no one reported them for fear of being sued.

The answer will be because Democrats put the interest of trial lawyers and C.A.I.R. before the blood of 45,000 small town Americans from New England. The answer will be because people who did know something were intimidated into silence. When the Democrats killed the John Doe amendment, they killed the next victims of a terror attack on our soil.

Michelle Malkin’s naming names. Surprise! it was all Democrats who killed it. Clinton voted with the Republicans on this, as did Lieberman of course, and Dorgan, Conrad, Bayh, Baucus, Conrad, Nelson and Schumer. There were a couple of others, but these are the only Democrats with any integrity.

Jihad Watch: Democrats strike a blow for the Jihad

I’m moving from the NYC anyway, and I’d advise anyone who doesn’t want to get nuked to do the same. And with C.A.I.R. being given carte blanche to sue anyone who tells police when they see a plot unfolding, the chances of NYC or Middletown, CT or any city getting hit by a terror attack has increased to about 80%.

When a Glasgow style truck bomb goes off in your town square, don’t forget to thank a Democrat.
