What other explanation can there be to the college keeping celebrated author and activist Star Parker from speaking? It couldn’t have been because Parker was controversial because Al Franken and transgendered activist Debra Davis were allowed to speak and both have controversial views. The only difference between Parker and Davis and Franken is that Parker is a strong Black woman, something that threatens the White administration.
Franken himself has a history of anti-Black racism, something he’s filed lawsuits to keep from getting out, so we can suppose that by inviting him and snubbing Parker UST Vice-President of Student Affairs Jane Canney was simply trying to make the college a place where White “liberal” racists like Franken would feel comfortable.
Ann Coulter was allowed to speak, something the Young America Foundation says Canney has continued to punish them for organizing, and surprise, she’s White. It’s almost as if Canney singled out Parker for some reason. Hmmm.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Canney would definitely let some black people speak there. Blacks who dance to her tune, or maybe Blacks who blurt out nonsense, but she’s threatened by a Black woman who is intelligent, articulate and won’t regurgitate White “liberals” neo-Marxist pablum.
Star Parker is a woman who preaches self-reliance to the Black community and talks about traditional Black Christian morality which includes a pro-life message. She doesn’t fit into Jane Canney’s view of what a Black person should be like. Like all racists she won’t accept the idea that a Black woman has the right to make statements she doesn’t like, that’s why she won’t let her speak.
The Young America Foundation has more.

Update: St. Thomas caves! Not only racists but they have no backbone.
You know, UST also rescinded their invitation for Desmond Tutu to speak recently, but that was ostensibly because they didn’t want him to offend Jews with his anti-Israeli views. Of course, later the university president apologized and invited Tutu to participate in a campus event. Someone must have clued him in that anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, and Jew hatred are a-ok with liberal academia.
LOL. Oh man from the very first sentence the same old song and dance. What else could it be but racism.
Star Parker – she’s a gasbag, a windbag, with diarrhea of the mouth. That’s why she’s unwelcome to speak at the school.
To call Al Franken a racist is moronic.
You poor, poor colored folks. Keep on blamin’ the White Man, the System, and everything else but yo’self.
That comment’s supposed to prove that racism is overstated? Really?
If Al Franken is not a racist explain how he managed to hire an entirely White staff (112) only one of whom were Black and none Asian, Latino etc) all the while hypocritically taking the rest of the world to task for not doing enough for affirmative action.
Franken is a windbag, Star Parker is a conservative that challanges the White liberal plantation mentality that causes most of the problems in the Black community. She also isn’t some cretin who takes contrary positions just to get attention.
You’re defense of Franken and attack on Parker is odd from a person who supposedly supported Mitt Romney, which itself is odd for a person who makes the kind of race baiting posts you do at that little site of yours. It’s almost as if you’re some sad loser looking for attention, some shut in who desires human contact so much you’ll accept anger and outrage rather than the friendship and validation you crave.
Get bent “Lyn” and don’t use my site to get traffic to that piss poor collection of leftist nonsense you host on typepad.
