Gateway Pundit has the goods. The Iranians are stepping up the rhetoric and demanding international support for the “liberation” of the holy land. From Baztab:
Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel on Wednesday condemned atrocities of the Zionist regime in violating sanctity of Al-Aqsa mosque and destruction of a part of the international culture and civilization.
Haddad-Adel wrote a letter to the parliament speakers of Islamic states on threshold of the 40th anniversary of occupation of Qods and religious and historical sites of the Palestinian people by the Zionist occupation forces, IRNA reported.
He called on his Islamic counterparts to take a coordinated and serious measure in this regard.
Pointing to responsibility of the international community and Islamic states in particular to protect the first Qibla of Muslims, he proposed parliament speakers of Islamic countries to launch a serious move in this regard.
“Due to silence of international circles and support of certain foreign powers during years of occupation, the Zionist regime has adopted measures to change population structure of the city of divine religions and cradle of peace.
“It has resorted to racism and expansionist policies including expulsion of Palestinian people and construction of Jewish settlements and the separation wall. The regime has posed serious danger to everyday life of the Palestinians,” he wrote in the letter.
Haddad-Adel urged all states, followers of Islam, Christianity and Judaism and all lovers of human civilization and culture to unanimously support Qods and the oppressed Palestinian people and put an end to occupation of the holy land.
I think the Iranians mean business.
