I post this story, via Xavier’s Thoughts, because it illustrates not only the use of a firearm in a self-defense situation but the reality of violent crime. Had this old man, who is crippled and just recently widowed, not have been armed he’d be dead. Gun control proponents think that’s acceptable, I do not:
