A family including two young children were forced to escape their burning house by climbing a ladder hung from a second story window after a group of animal rights activists firebombed the house. As I’ve said before, the success of Islamic terrorists in making the West bow to them and their demands has emboldened radicals of all stripes and now we see them using tactics more at home on the Gaza Strip than in an affluent California neighborhood.

Santa Cruz police are looking for the people responsible for two firebomb attacks that targeted UC Santa Cruz researchers, NBC11 reported.
Investigators called the attacks acts of domestic terrorism and said they believe an animal rights group is responsible.
Emergency crews raced to a quiet Santa Cruz neighborhood Saturday morning after getting a report of a house fire.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the residence had been intentionally firebombed, police said. The home belonged to the family of a University of California, Santa Cruz, researcher, and the family was home at the time.
The address of the residence was listed in animal rights pamphlets found on Tuesday.
The victims, including two young children, escaped down a fire ladder from a second story window. Family members suffered injuries during the escape, police said.
“This is nothing less than a case of attempted homicide,” Santa Cruz Chief of Police Howard Skerry said. “It’s unconscionable that any reasonable person would consider this an acceptable tactic to get their point across. We are working hard with the other agencies and committing all available resources to follow all possible leads. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
Two young children were almost killed, suffered injuries and we’re still to believe that the humanity hating eco-cult that the environmental movement has devolved into is just a harmless group of hippies? That they’re well meaning defenders of the earth?
These people are monsters, they wanted to kill an entire family by burning them to death. They waited for them to be home then set the house on fire. This is the kind of madness that is infecting our children on “liberal” college campuses.

I had been suspecting this for sometime. Part of me always knew that one day an eco or animal rights terrorist would kill at least one innocent person, on purpose or by accident. When you use violence and arson as tactics, it is bound to lead to death at some point. It looks like this some guy tried to murder people just for doing something he didn’t like. My disturbing prediction has come disturbingly close to being fulfilled. I’m glad this nut job failed. I hope he spends a long time in prison.
Indeed, it is only a matter of time before someone is killed by these terrorists.
ALF: Animal Liberation Front . They are just as vile and loathsome as any terrorist organization because that is all they are.
They might be even more dangerous ultimately because no one takes them seriously. They may pull off a big attack here easier than Al-Qaeda because no one is really watching.
