A few weeks later, the girl believes her mother spiked her Pepsi with rum, according to police. The girl told them she felt ill after drinking the Pepsi, passed out and vomited. She was partially naked when she woke up with Calloway in the room, according to the criminal complaint.
The third time occurred in mid-March, when the girl told police she came home early from school because she was not feeling well. She said that her mother forced her to drink tea.
After that incident, according to an AP report, the girl pretended to fall asleep until Calloway “made his move” at which point she bolted and made her escape.

If these allegations are true, Shana Brown and Duane Calloway both should be executed. Is there any greater betrayal of a young girl than to have her own mother work in concert with a child rapist to not only molest her, but get her pregnant and married to the mother’s lover in some twisted polygamous sex fantasy inspired by the two adults’ drug use and/or soullessness? I don’t think so.
But sex offenders in our country are treated as if they are sick, not evil, which is why people like this operate with near obliviousness to how serious their crimes are. No doubt both will claim drugs or alcohol were responsible for their attempts at the most heinous acts imaginable, but the truth is the two are just bad people who can be trusted to abuse and exploit those weaker than them in or out of prison.
And who will protect the other prisoners from the unrepentant sex fiend Calloway? How many people will he rape while incarcerated? How many little girls will he rape when he gets out? How many little girls will Shana Brown help rape when she’s out?
There is only one way to ensure animals like these don’t victimize others, and that’s to put the death penalty on the table for sexual predators.

Harsher punishments do not deter crime. Focus more on the victim, and what can be done to help prevent cases like this in the future. And no, killing these two people will not prevent crimes, as you say. Killing them does not undo what they have done and does not prevent innocent people from being raped and molested in the future.

in my opinion the death penalty should never be used no matter how bad or evil the crime is that some1 commited. the death penalty wont take back what some1 has already done. it is basically a form of revenge that is used to make people feel satisfied, but really that is not what the world should be. The death penalty or long long long prison sentences absolutely do prevent more crimes. The animal that committed it in the first place can’t ever do it again. That is the ultimate prevention as far as THAT animal is concerned.

Just want to point out a few things…
Castration *does NOT* work. Child rapists will find some other means of violating their victims. Lopping off their penis (or rendering it chemically inactive) will do nothing for their urge to violate children. And the sad and unfortunate truth is that most of these guys DO get out of prison, and many times EARLY. Here’s what will probably happen: He’ll either be put in with a whole bunch of other child rapists (because believe it or not, there are that many of them clogging up the prisons) or have to be put in solitary “for his own protection”, which will only cost the taxpayers more money. He’ll come up for parole, claim that his actions were due to the fact that he was on drugs at the time “but I’m clean now, and I’m so terribly sorry”, but the mother was as much at fault as he was, since *she* was the one who drugged the girl.
He’ll get out early. He’ll find himself another unfit mother with a child of around the age he’s attracted to, and do it all over again. Maybe this time he’ll succeed, and not only will the taxpayers have to support him in prison AGAIN, but we’ll also end up supporting this young teen mother and her child (who will hopefully get therapy, finish school, get a degree, and do a better job raising her child rather than keep that cycle of abuse going… but what are the chances, being raised by a mother like hers?)
The fact is that he will most likely not spend enough time in prison for it to stop him from doing this again. And even if he does, who do you think will hire an old child rapist for *any* job? Who do you think will end up supporting this creep in his old age? Will he just be placed in a state-run nursing home, where he can sexually harass the young nurses?
Seriously, some of you folks need to read some more news articles and statistics on these crimes to really get an idea of the true extent of the problem. Even if this guy is butt-raped daily in prison, he’ll never suffer the extent of emotional damage (and potentially physical, due to the drugs) that this one girl has suffered at the hands of this guy and her mother. And the truth of the matter is that the victim these guys get caught on are rarely the first, and if they have *any* opportunity in the future, it most likely won’t be the last.

I just started reading Rob’s articles, and sure he uses words that will get your attention….but the points he makes are dead serious. The facts of this case are there for anyone to see, nothing in this article is “made-up”. I don’t even understand how this article could make ANYONE mad at the writer, unless you believe you should be allowed to commit these heinous crimes. Not only is this a physical crime, it is also a psychological one. I am a Pagan, which if you did what you claim I should do and research a subject you’d easily find out. Although the fact that I don’t like mincing through life forgiving people should have clued you in that I’m not one.

I’ve never claimed it wasn’t right to execute criminals. Some crimes are so heinous, some people so degenerate, that they forfeit their right to live amongst us. Ted Bundy deserved to die, Manson got off easy. In this case, where a woman drugged her 13-year-old daughter and helped her boyfriend rape the girl, I believe that death should be on the table, because this crime is especially horrible. How is my logic off?
Only the most depraved and soulless monster would have ever entertained such vile actions. When she and her boyfriend are out of prison they will carry on in the same way. They will no doubt victimize other prisoners during their stay. Why is killing them more immoral than allowing them to victimize more people?
