Wow. I watched the video and to me, the police officers gave him more than his fair share of chances to put his clothes back on. Did they use excessive force? I don’t know for sure, I wasn’t there. I don’t know strong the guy was when he was wrestling with the officers and resisting arrest. As far as the “freedom of speech” goes, the guy was breaking the law! Maybe excessive force was used, maybe not, but the police officers have a job to do. Once they start letting people get away with things like that, others will be pulling similar stunts all over the place. Could they have handled it differently? Possibly. But it still needed to be handled, regardless.
I agree. The only criticism I have with the cops is that they let the situation escalate that far in the first place.
