From The AZ Star’s Police Beat:
A traffic stop about 16 miles east of Tucson resulted in the seizure of more than 200 pounds of marijuana, officials said Thursday.
According to a Department of Public Safety news release, a DPS officer stopped a 2001 Chevrolet sedan Monday headed westbound on Interstate 10.
When approaching the vehicle, the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside. The officer conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered 10 bales of marijuana weighing approximately 225 pounds.
The driver, Carlos R. Gracia, 29, was from Mexico and was arrested on suspicion of possesion and transportation of marijuana for sale.
He was booked into the Pima County jail, according to the release.
How confident did Gracia have to be in Cartel control of the border to pull a stupid stunt like that?
To think we still have people that doesn’t think we need to secure our borders. Just imagine how many others are going to try to pull stunts like this having a mega hwy from Mexico to Canada.
