Pro-Castro Communist front group Code Pink purposefully sparked a near riot in Little Havana on Saturday with a provocative and racist display of hostility toward the Cuban-American community.

From Code Pink apologist Ruth Morris at the Sun-Sentinel:

Peace activists in pink dresses and tiaras demanded the arrest of anti-communist militant Luis Posada Carriles Saturday, but aborted plans for a demonstration in Little Havana after Carriles supporters rushed their vehicle.

The six activists, of the Codepink anti-war group, had planned to speak to reporters outside the landmark Versailles restaurant to publicize their campaign against Carriles– a former CIA operative wanted in Venezuela in connection with the 1976 bombing of a Cuban airliner.

However they were met by some 200 irate Cuban-Americans who consider Carriles a champion of freedom. Some ran at the activists’ truck as they arrived, tearing off its pink fringe, while others shouted sexist slurs.

“We’re not in Cuba. We’re supposed to have free speech,” said Medea Benjamin, one of the group’s founders. “This is indicative of how a small group of Cuban-Americans are holding the rest of the community hostage.”

I included the final quote to illustrate the rank hypocrisy of Susan “Medea” Benjamin who is a supporter of Castro’s regime, including their denial of free speech rights. Benjamin and Code Pink in fact refused to visit or stand up for the political prisoners in Castro’s gulag while flitting around Cuba even though they received pleas from the families of those prisoners for help.

Benjamin and company support the suppression of free speech for Cubans but not for the rich White women who make up their little communist coven. Hmmm, do I smell the double standard of ingrained racism?

Here’s another outlandishly hypocritical quote from Benjamin in the Sun-Sentinel’s far too sympathetic piece:

Benjamin said the group would stick with plans to distribute postcards in Miami Beach and other parts of the city, asking the FBI to Posada Carriles on its most wanted list.

“He’s a known terrorist. This man should be behind bars,” she said. “We feel our government should be consistent. We go looking for terrorists all over the world.”

A U.S. judge dismissed seven counts of immigration fraud against Posada Carriles, 80, in May, ruling that agents were deceitful in their interviews with him. But Benjamin and others want prosecutors to investigate him further in connection to the airline attack that killed 73 people, and bombings that targeted tourist spots in Havana.

His supporters say Posada Carriles is not a terrorist but a hero of their struggle to oppose Fidel Castro’s communist regime.

The hypocrisy of a woman who founded an organization that raised money to pay off the families of homicide bombers not once, but twice, is astounding. She has given money to terrorists and now demands that we arrest this man, who from the quotes is considered a hero to the refugees from Castro’s murderous Cuba, for terrorism. During the last week of December 2004, Medea Benjamin announced that Code Pink, Global Exchange, and Families for Peace would be donating a combined $600,000 in medical supplies and cash to the families of the terrorist insurgents who were fighting American troops in Fallujah, Iraq. In an article dated January 1, 2005, the online publication Peace and Resistance reported that Rep. Henry Waxman had written a letter addressed to the American ambassador in Amman, Jordan to help facilitate the transport of this aid through Customs.

Cindy Sheehan, a member of Benjamin’s Castro cult, has raised money for terrorists in some very interesting ways, including ripping off her supporters.

Also said to be at attendance was the only Code Pink member perhaps more hypocritical than Benjamin, self styled Wiccan and radical Feminist relic Starhawk. Starhawk is the author of dreadful new age pablum like The Spiral Dance which helped politically motivated “feminists” hijack the neo-Pagan movement and turn it into America’s saddest sub-culture. From the book Urban Voodoo by S. Jason Black and Christopher Hyatt:

For example, we have had many experiences with the Wicca community in southern California. These groups were invariably dominated by extremely obese, loud women – Israel Regardie used to call them “tent women” – whose goal at any gathering seemed to be to push people around. This was usually accompanied by the sort of verbal moralizing (”that’s black magic” or “he’s incurring bad karma”) that many of us can remember from Sunday school. These people claim to be nature mystics, but the clinical obesity, poor hygiene, chain smoking and chronic bickering tell a very different story. Jason was once shown a particularly pompous and moralizing article in a “Neo-Pagan” magazine and in annoyance, he asked (about the author), “Does she weigh four hundred pounds?” His friend replied in some indignation that he knew her and she was quite thin. It is not our intention to be cruel here, merely to point out some unpleasant truths about the “New Age” or any other movement.

The description fits Starhawk to a tee, and frankly much of the “unpleasant truths” about the neo-Pagan movement stem from Starhawk and her followers turning occultism into a radical accoutrement with which to scare the “normals” and recruit lonely teenage girls.

But while Starhawk is initiating deluded teens into the shadow sisterhood of pseudo-Witches she’s silent on Cuba’s control of the religious lives of its citizens and Marxist persecution of the religious. Hypocrisy is truly the modern Wiccan’s sacrament.

And just why did Benjamin, Starhawk and the of the Code Pink crew decide to show up in the middle of Little Havana to hold this protest? Was it because they sought to inflame the passions of people who have sat by and watched their once proud country be destroyed by a Marxist dictator while White liberals defend the atrocities of the madmen in charge?

Of course it is, another in a series of racist attacks by White liberals on the Cuban refugees whose homeland is little more than a sex shop for their husbands. This riot was yet another crime committed by Code Pink targeting American citizens and it’s high time the government seriously looked into the activities of this racist, anti-American group.
