The question is why the 180 degree turn? Have the Democrats finally decided to move toward a base previously untapped? Has the Democratic party, for the sake of victory, allowed itself to be subverted by neo-Marxist weekend radicals for whom anti-American protesting is seen as consequenceless?

Are the Democrats willing to abandon their beliefs, and their allies, to court a more active, louder cadre of supporters? Even if those supporters are ideologically in bed with our enemies? Is Democratic participation in fringe groups like World Can’t Wait a sign that they’ve embraced the Stalinist politics that J.F.K. fought against?

Are the Democrats willing to put aside what’s best for the country to reach out to a cacophony of fringe groups who hate America? Are the Democrats the party of J.F.K. or the party of Lyndon LaRouche?

What does this mean for the rest of us? I don’t know and that’s what scares me.
