Ugh. The thought of leathery skinned radicals who never matured emotionally and have not aged well at all getting high and blowing each other between rounds of Russian Roulette made me throw up a little. By the gods! These people are in their 50s and 60s. When the hell do you grow up, settle down and start having sex that doesn’t involve the risk of injury or death?

PORTLAND, Maine (CBS/AP) Bruce LaVallee-Davidson, an outspoken gay rights activist who publicly fought for gay marriage, has been convicted of manslaughter in a bizarre sex game accident that included drugs and guns.

Both the prosecution and the defense had agreed that LaVallee-Davidson, a 50-year-old Skowhegan, Maine farmer and avid gun collector, didn’t intend to kill his friend, Fred Wilson, during a drug-fueled, three-way sex party that lasted 12 hours. But prosecutors contended that LaVallee-Davidson should have checked that the gun they were using to heighten their sexual role playing wasn’t loaded before handling it.

Police say that the shooting occurred while a third man, James Pombriant, was engaged in a sex act with Wilson in the dungeon-like basement of Wilson’s Colonial home in a middle-class neighborhood two blocks from the ocean.

Pombriant testified that the shot rang out and there was a moment of silence before Lavallee-Davidson said, “I think I killed him.”

One of his lawyers, Mike Whipple, said his client checked three times over the course of the night to make sure the .44-caliber Rossi revolver wasn’t loaded. Whipple contends it’s likely Wilson loaded the gun while Lavallee-Davidson briefly stepped away to use the bathroom.

When Lavallee-Davidson returned, Wilson asked him to put the gun to his head and pull the trigger to intensify his pleasure, the defense had argued. On the first try, there was a click when Lavallee-Davidson pulled the trigger. Wilson asked him to do it again, and there was a flash, the defense said.

Oh man. Once you read that you will never look at three old dudes sitting around together the same again. Though some will be quick to blame the homosexuality of the victim and his friends, the obvious culprit here is a drug culture merged with sado-masochism. It is clear that Wilson wanted to die and chose to do it this way. I would put forward that sans drug use he would have been less likely to make such a bizarre decision and certainly wouldn’t have set up a situation that would send his friend to jail.

What kind of drug use are we talking about here? Typical boomer Peter Pan syndrome stuff:

The fatal shooting happened after Wilson, Lavallee-Davidson and a third man had been smoking pot, consuming the party drug GBL, huffing aerosol inhalants and having sex over a 12-hour period in the basement of Wilson’s Colonial home in a middle-class neighborhood two blocks from the ocean.

The third participant, James Pombriant, 65, of Auburn, testified he first thought the others were playing a sick joke on him when he saw the flash of a handgun after hours of partying.

Grow up boomers. I can’t think of a less dignified way to go than this and the victim’s supposed friend is now on his way to jail. But of course if we had legalized drugs this story would have had a (dare I say) happy ending, right legalizers?

The above photo is Bayron Reyes Lopez, a dog killing pervert who tried to attack a woman on the street while under the influence of drugs. The woman’s five-year-old miniature schnauzer bravely got between the two and sacrificed her life in defense of her master:

SAN CLEMENTE – What started out as a call about a loud radio early this morning ended with the arrest of a nude 26-year-old man who officials suspect killed a family dog with his bare hands, then poured hot coffee on his head while running naked in a tennis club, authorities said.

The dog’s owner said that if her 5-year-old mini schnauzer hadn’t run out in between her and the man, she would have been the one beaten to death.

“Rather than grab me, he focused on Kokanee and took his aggression out on her,” said Julie Donnelly, a nurse. “When Kokanee ran out in front, it gave me valuable seconds, valuable time to yell for people to help.”

Bayron Reyes Lopez has been arrested in the attack.

Investigators suspect that Lopez was under the influence of drugs when the pandemonium began shortly after 4:30 a.m., when deputies tried to contact him at his apartment.

Deputies were called to an apartment building in the 1100 block of Calle del Cerro because of a loud radio, said Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. When deputies arrived, however, no one was there.

“We get there, go in the room, the guy is gone,” he said.

Authorities believe Lopez jumped from a third-story window when deputies arrived.

Yeah. High people are awesome. The picture above? His mugshot. Even after being arrested he thought this was all a big joke. But of course if drugs were legal this wouldn’t have happened as a commenter on a drug related dog abuse story I did about a year ago explained to me:

I have a fairly simple answer as to why legalizing cannabis may have prevented this crime.

By consuming an illegal herb, the perpetrator was spurred on to commit further illegal acts. If the herb in question were legal, it would be more likely that a culture of responsibility would develop concerning it, and the users of the drug might behave more responsibly.

There is nothing inherent to cannabis which causes violent behavior, and it is only the stupidity of the user in question which caused him to act that way, reflecting the stupidity of the law concerning cannabis. Stupidity begets stupidity after all.

Right. There is nothing inherent in a substance that causes intoxication that makes people behave in an intoxicated way. Got it. I mean, the responsible drinking culture here and in England proves that making a substance legal ends drunken brawls, rapes, and highway fatalities.

And of course lefties from sites like Huffington Post are defending this drug addled moron and her irresponsible behavior. Huffpo claims she “accidentally” gave the toddler the marijuana infused cookies but that’s not exactly what really happened.

On the evening of Dec. 4, Erin Marcove made cookies for her 3-year-old grandson, a scene that is played out often around the Holidays, except for the fact that Marcove made the cookies with her favorite ingredient…Marijuana.

Marcove told police that she gave the boy the cookies which she made with “cannabis butter” around 10:30 p.m. The next day, she could not wake him.

The grandmother told investigators that when she awoke at noon, her grandson “was still sleeping, which was odd and she couldn’t get him to wake him up”

Hours later, Marcove placed the toddler in a cold shower, after he remained unresponsive. She then called the boy’s mother, but refused to call an ambulance for the child.

Once the boy’s mother arrived, she called 911 and he was rushed to the hospital. He required treatment in an intensive care unit, and tested positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.

Court records state: “Mrs. Marcove said she didn’t call for the paramedics or take (the boy) to the hospital herself, because she doesn’t have his Medicaid card.”

Maybe if she was sober she would have remembered that emergency rooms are required by law to take patients in distress regardless of ability to pay. Of course that’s assuming she really believed such stupidity and wasn’t afraid to take a toddler she overdosed to a hospital where workers would have been required to report her abusiveness.

Because Marcove lived in her drug-fueled liberal fantasy world she assumed people would believe her asinine story. They didn’t. She ended up being investigated and took her own life rather than face the consequences of her actions in a final testament to her stunted emotional development.

So who was Marcove? Just some overage stoner? No, my friends, Marcove was a well known marijuana activist. The Examiner reports:

Marcove was well known amongst marijuana activists and was a self-described “Cannabis Medical Therapist Consultant.” She ran a business known as Cannabis Medical Therapeutics. Her website claimed that she used marijuana for most of her life for a variety of reasons.

Marcove frequently wrote about the benefits of marijuana use and the need to educate others on the subject.

She wrote on Westword.com: “There is so much information on cannabis; we all need the right education that guides the public in the truth of cannabis. Embrace cannabis as medicine. Compassionate medicine, Compassionate dispensaries!“

Right. Marcove was a signatory on the Cannabis Therapy Institute’s “open letter to Colorado officials” where she was listed as a “expert” in the use of medical marijuana. I think overdosing her child on pot cookies should have called her supposed expertise into question.

That’s not how Huffington Post readers see it though. Huffpo hippy KarlaElisa made this comment on the story:

We’re talking about a medicine that cures cancer (if you dispute this you haven’t done any research into the topic at all), and there’s all this fuss about it??

And of course the rest of the comments were similar. No mention of how dangerous it is for the child and a bunch of nonsense about pot being a miracle cure for everything … except pathological immaturity.

Marcove’s fellow drug users are actually lionizing her on the web. None of course have put forward the idea that getting toddlers high is wrong. This is likely because they don’t think it is.

But if it were legal this story would have been better because the woman wouldn’t have been punished for getting a 3-year-old high? Is that the argument legalizers are making?

DodiaFae from Pagans Against Child Abuse sent me this story. Yet again, another story that shows drug use is not a victimless crime, and drug users cannot contain the harm drug abuse does to themselves alone:

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – A Dona Ana County mother is facing felony child abuse charges after her infant daughter tested positive for cocaine.

Yvonne Sanchez was indicted on two charges earlier this week.  She remained in custody Friday.

Court documents say the 26-year-old Sanchez was originally arrested in October after police responded to a parking lot fight and recognized her vehicle as being involved in an earlier crime.

The court documents say her three children were found in a “filthy and dangerous” home where dirty diapers were on the floor and trash and dirty clothes were scattered about.

Drug paraphernalia also was found in the home.

Sanchez told authorities that her boyfriend and his brother had drug problems, but she allowed them to watch her children while she was at work.

Since Sanchez seems to spend a good deal of her time fighting in parking lots, driving getaway cars, and hanging around drug addicts I assume we are talking about “work” as opposed to work.

But hey, that’s her business, right? It’s not like we taxpayers end up on the hook for her children or anything, so let’s legalize it.
