Sympathy for the Devil: How the Left Sanctions Criminality

Originally published at Newsreal Blog

Leftism is a cancer eating away at foundations of our society. It is in fact the goal of the Left to destroy those foundations so that our society can be replaced with the Marxist “Utopia” they believe in, a Hell on Earth of mass murder and rape camps in which they have the power over others they crave. At its core leftism is about inflicting pain and suffering on others and nowhere is that more obvious than in how the Left views and treats criminality.

Still enamored with the Soviet Union’s medicalization of crime, the Left has long pushed theories which explain deviant antisocial behavior as mental illness that can be treated. This view of rape and murder takes responsibility for the crime away from the criminal and puts it in the hands of the rest of us, who are made responsible for “healing” this “sick” individual. But this view, injurious as it is, is mild compared to the more common view of criminality that flies around these days which states that crime is caused by “oppression.” Continue reading

Demand for Fish Creates Opportunity for Almost Collapse Proof Business in Ohio

I’ve been in contact with multiple survivalist minded groups who tell me they are forming some sort of Libertarian commune where everyone will take care of the communal chickens and pay for things in silver and gold coins. Clearly this is asinine. But small farms are a great place to invest your rapidly declining dollar which will stand up to financial troubles better than a pile of gold bars sitting in your garage.

As I said before, in terms of the Roman Empire style collapse many think will happen gold is a suckers bet for survival in the long term and will be available at cheaper prices once the necessities of life are scarce. Producing things people will always need is a much better investment in the long term for you and your family. Fish farms are increasingly popular and in Ohio are so in demand the state is begging people to start more of them:

Ohio agriculture officials are encouraging more people to go into fish farming as the demand for fish grows, and some fish farmers are hoping the state will help with grants and low-interest loans.

Ohio Department of Agriculture and officials with state fishing associations see locally raised fish as an alternative to seafood imported from abroad.

“Seafood is the No. 2 (trade) deficit in the United States, second only to oil,” said Tony Forshey, chief of the Ohio department’s division of animal industry. “About 95 to 98 percent of our seafood is imported.”

Forshey has said that fish farming, or aquaculture, has great potential in Ohio.

“Ohio is a perfect state for aquaculture production because of our vast water supply,” Forshey told The (Canton) Repository.

With about 260 fish farmers in Ohio, the state is a leader in hybrid bluegill production and also produces yellow perch, largemouth and smallmouth bass and tilapia, Forshey said.

Greg and Jeanette Morris have established a fledgling business with three fish-nurturing ponds on their farm near East Canton.

“We are looking for more people to do this because the demand exceeds what we can put out,” Jeannette Morris said. “People want freshwater fish.”

Those in the business say there is no shortage of buyers.

“Basically, we have a dwindling supply of fish, plus a growing demand,” said Brent Dixon, president of the Fish Farmers of Ohio Association.

Sounds to me like before you pump that $50,000 into gold that you’re survival cul .. I mean group … pooled together you should look into aqua culture and fish farming.

Gang Intelligence: MS-13

Via Police One this video is of Detroit Police Sgt. Harold Rochon giving a presentation designed for law enforcement officers to get a comprehensive overview of the MS-13 gang. This video includes discussion of identifiers, what crimes MS-13 usually partakes in and even delves briefly into their terrorist connections. As civil unrest increases it behooves you to learn about gangs who in some areas will be shadow governments where American power is easily challenged (Oakland, Chicago, Arizona) or police forces have been thinned out.

Some of the information is very basic, but this is a video presentation you should sit down and watch. An interesting side note is that a former member claims more than once that MS-13 is a Satanic gang, which is something I heard before but never saw much evidence for:

Finding Wealth at Yard Sales

Backwoods Home has a great article on buying silver and gold jewelry at yard sales. Even with commodity prices at an all time high many people running yard sales are simply putting out silver bracelets and earrings at bargain prices.

Jewelry is portable wealth, and unlike the hoard f gold or silver bullion many have can be easily transported, traded and pawned so start looking for some piece now that will go in your bug out bag or on your person. I would hit more yard sales myself if wasn’t a late sleeper. Get to the yard sales early for the good stuff.

Peter Schiff – Fair Weather Libertarian?

Yep. Schiff was on The Kudlow Report when the former Paulnut abandoned Libertarian free market principles to jump on the anti-Goldline band wagon.

Via Newsbusters:

“You know, I have my own gold company and it bothers me what they’re going to do,” Schiff said to CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report” fill-in host Michelle Caruso-Cabrera on the Sept. 24 broadcast. “I think that companies like, you know, like Goldline, you know that are basically marking up their gold coins 67 percent or whatever – it’s outrageous. I mean, most companies mark-up 2 or 3 percent, which is what I do. These type of companies give the whole industry a bad name. What I’m afraid of is we’re going to have a lot of regulation.”

Caruso-Cabrera asked Schiff in these circumstances if it was a case of buyer beware. However, Schiff suggested it was fraudulent for coin companies to charge these prices for what by any measure of the law would be a legal transaction if a consumer chose to purchase coins from such a company.

“If there’s fraud, it’s not buyer beware,” he continued. “But what I’m afraid of is I don’t want government regulating the coin industry so that people like me have to raise our prices to cover all the extra cost of regulation.”

But assuming Schiff’s assumption were correct, wouldn’t he has a competitor be able to move in on the market and offer the same product for a lower price? Isn’t that how the free market operates? Schiff conceded that point, but complained he was getting beat because he couldn’t afford the advertising.

“I mean, I think the free market should ferret out these companies that are grossly overcharging people who don’t know any better. You know, that’s the problem. People haven’t bought gold in so long and see how well it’s doing and get conned by these commercials that are all over television. But most gold companies like mine, we can’t afford to run commercials because we’re not charging that much.”

So Goldline “overcharging” is fraud? In a free market Schiff would simply advertise as a cheaper alternative and his claims that he can’t compete sound odd as he does it from one of the many cable news shows he’s allowed to pimp his company on. Schiff is just attacking the competition using the government. He tries to couch his complaints in a desire to not see more regulation but the reality is he’s saying he doesn’t want to compete with Goldline even though he supposedly has a better product.

I don’t shop with Goldline or Euro-Pacific Capital. There’s only one precious metals company on the web that is rated by the B.B.B. and that’s where I purchase any coins and bullion I want. But I do think that in a free market a corporation has the right to a) charge whatever they want for their services and b) advertise for that service where ever they can. But I’m just a Republican “fascist,” right Libertarians?

Peter Schiff, like many Libertarians, gives excellent economic analysis. And like many Libertarians he’s kind of a douche who will drop their belief in a total free market the minute they can’t compete. This is why they support legalization of drugs rather than decriminalization of drugs – they want the government to ensure that their drugs are safe and reasonably priced, which is of course impossible but that’s another argument.

George W. Bush takes a lot of heat for the bailouts, but in that case he literally thought you would be getting yanked out your car by rioters as the whole country went Katrina. Schiff abandoned the free market to save his bottom line, but I’m betting he won’t get much grief. That should make people think.
