1 in Every 5 British Men Think Beating Women Acceptable

What could be influencing British men to take on such misogynist views? How could we possibly explain this?

From The Sun:

ONE in five adults thinks it is OK for a man to slap his wife or girlfriend, a shock survey reveals today.

They consider it acceptable if she merely wears “sexy clothes” in public.

Fourteen per cent reckon blokes are justified in lashing out if a partner is “nagging or moaning”.

And 10 per cent believe it is all right for them to hit a lover who flirts with another man. 

Weird. I thought English people were civilized. it’s almost as if the poll was inundated by people who didn’t share the Enlightenment values of equality and liberty for all.

The sickening figures emerge in a Government survey on domestic violence — which quizzed both men AND women — to be published today.

Incredibly, they reveal that HALF the public think a woman is at least partly at fault for being raped if she does not clearly say “no”.

A third believe she is partly responsible if she is drunk.

And a quarter think she should take some of the blame if she wears sexy clothing.

Officials said the findings “shocked” Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.

They come as she unveils a groundbreaking crusade today to stop violence against women.

Yeah. Good luck with that.

Jihadists Launch Rockets and Throw Pipe Bombs at Pro-Israel Demonstrators in Sweden

Needless to say the police were basically powerless to stop them. Here’s video of one of the rocket launches:

The arabs, that numbered about 100, where shouting “allah ahkbar” as they normally do and showed their hate towards Israel and the Jews with different slogans. It didnt take long until they started attacking us, this time with homemade pipebombs and fireworks. The home made bombs were pretty powerful, as I stood not to far away when one of them exploded. According to what I heard, the police managed to arrest the ones that threw the bombs. However, they did not disperse the arab crowd which they should have done according to me. In total there were two pipebombs, two rockets and some glass bottles.

The bombs didnt reach into our crowd since the distance between us was larger than last time, but the rockets exploded over the heads of the peaceful pro-israel demonstration.

According to the commander of the police operation, the organizers of the manifestation wanted to seal the square off for security reasons. I, however, think that the point of the manifestation was lost whem no “outsiders” could see or hear what we had to say. When you show support for something in public, you do that for a reason – for others to see and hear. This was not possible due to that the area was completely sealed of and the only ones that could hear us were the police and the hateful arab mob. The point of a public manifestation was lost in my opinion.

This kind of escalation of behavior should be worrisome to Sweden. It is only a matter of time before more powerful and lethal devices are employed by the Jihadists in their proxy war on Israel fought in the streets of Europe.

You Can Crash on My Couch (or Hide in My Attic) if You Need To: A Message to My Jewish Friends

Looks pretty bad out there, huh? In less than twenty years we’ve shifted in this country from considering anti-Semitism a sure sign of barbarity to having the left use it as a valid political point. Twenty years ago (and I was in high school so I was fairly naive) I would have told a person who claimed there would be pogroms in Europe against Jews starting up in the 21st century that they were paranoid, stupid or likely a combination of both. I would have been wrong.

The left, specifically the left in this country, has managed to cover up some of its very dark early history, as Jonah Goldberg’s book Liberal Fascism admirably exposes. Some, but not all, and despite the “moderate” left Democrats long using the Ku Klux Klan as a paramilitary wing, right up into the 70s as a matter of fact, and despite the “Hard Left” being quite open about wanting to overthrow our country and establish a Soviet or Maoist style government (neither of which were welcoming to Jews, Gays or other minorities) Jews have long believed themselves at home on the left and have recruited other disenfranchised communities to join them.

In return the left, along with their Islamist allies, are preparing the way for a second Holocaust not just in Israel, but in Europe and even on our own shores. You think I’m hysterical? Over the weekend this was the news:

At yesterday’s NYC Gaza rally at least seven police officers were injured and Atlas has a report that a couple was physically attacked by Muslims while police stood by powerless to do anything.

A waiter in Woodbury, N.Y. ruined a Jewish wedding by blasting a tape of Muslims shouting Allah Akbar over the PA system.

Synagogues were vandalized in Chicago. Hey, wasn’t leftist group Rise Up planning attacks on Synagogues last week?

In Oslo, the Muslim/Leftist protesters showed up to a Pro-Israel rally with knives, bats and molotov cocktails and they used them on innocent people. Also in Oslo, Pro-Palestinian protesters used their children as shields to ward off police. Neocon Express has video.

Sweden’s Social Democrat party is openly supporting Hamas and had members in attendance at several violent rallies.

French Synagogues were fire bombed in France.

In Denmar, protesters chanted “We want to kill all the Jews. All Jews should be slain, they have no right to exist.”

Muslims took the streets from the police in London in a brazen display designed to show the world who the real power is in England.

Francesca Segal in The Guardian wrote that she no longer feels safe as a Jew in England.

In Spain pro-Hamas protesters brandished guns and were photographed carrying a sign that says “You can put my mortgage up your Holocaust.” Barcepundit has more.

The U.N. General Assempbly President has claimed Jews are “like Nazis.” Therefore they get what’s coming to them I suppose.

As Gates of Vienna says, it’s 1932 in Europe. But this time, America is no safe haven as the Left/Islamist alliance pushes European style anti-Semitism into the American mainstream. And when they’re done with the Jews it will be Gays, Republicans, Libertarians, Christians, Pagans and any other group that might not fit into their nihilistic vision of a Communist state propped up by a violent population of Islamic Imperialists.

The time to draw a line in the sand is now, and it is time for new alliances if the Post-Enlightenment West is to survive. Abandon your pre-conceived notions of the Right if you’re a Liberal Jew and know that while many on the right make room for Classical Liberalism (and clearly for FDR style policies) the left will have less and less room for those their new allies are bred to hate. You will soon be expelled by the left and no amount of debate will derail the genocidal ambition of the modern Islamists, and the left is more likely to help them than stand up to them.

And what of the rest of us? This violence is a call to action. Just as the Republicans fought to free the slaves despite being despised until this day for doing so, it is time for the Right to stand with Israel not just in word but in deed. Synagogues need protection, our Jewish friends need support and Israel needs us.

We must attend rallies, we must take up collections to help rebuild the houses of worship being destroyed, and if need be we must fight. When a young couple is surrounded and attacked by Leftists or Muslims we can no longer wait for the police to stop it. We must be as militant as the left is and the time for polite disagreement is over. If we do as the Europeans did prior to WWII and wait for things to get better, who will we turn to when they don’t?

Pogrom Against Jews in Europe Continues While American Media Silent

Gates of Vienna has been keeping busy following the attacks on European Jews. American news sources are basically ignoring what should be one of the most important stories of Gaza conflict which is how every country with a large Muslim population has become unsafe for Jews and their governments are basically powerless (or unwilling) to protect them.

Have you heard about the Synagogue burned in England? No, off course not.  From The Daily Mail:

The number of anti-Semitic attacks in London has risen sharply following Israel’s land assault on Gaza, Jewish community groups said today.

Their leaders have compiled a dossier of attacks against Jews which will be handed to seniors officers in the Metropolitan police.

The attacks include claims of:

* An attempt to burn down a synagogue in north-west London.
* An assault on a Jewish motorist who was pulled from his car and punched.
* A gang of youths chanting anti-Semitic slogans as they tried to enter restaurants and shops in Golders Green.

The Community Security Trust, which is responsible for the safety of Jews in Britain, has also noted the emergence of anti-Semitic graffiti in Jewish areas across London.

Slogans sprayed on walls include: ‘Kill Jews’ and ‘Jews are scumbags.’

The trust has now logged 24 anti-Semitic incidents – most of them in London – in the past week. Police are said to be stepping up patrols in Jewish areas.

Mark Gardner, the trust’s spokesman, told the Standard: ‘There has been a significant rise in the number of anti-Semitic incidents, especially when compared with what is usually a very quiet time of year for racist, anti-Jewish attacks. (!?!)

‘It is a pattern with which we and police are now sadly familiar, whereby hysteria is whipped up against Israel: and British Jews then suffer a wave of anti-Semitism.’

The arson attack on the synagogue in Brondesbury took place on Sunday night. The arsonists first tried to smash open a window but failed because of the toughened glass in place to protect such buildings from terrorist attacks.

Mr Gardner said: ‘Having been thwarted they then appear to have attempted to set the front door alight with petrol, causing some damage to the exterior of the premises. Police, CST and fire brigade attended the scene.’

On New Year’s Eve, a man was pulled from his car just as he was about to drive off and assaulted by three men whom he described as being of Arab appearance.

The victim did not suffer any serious injury. The same night a gang of youths alarmed locals in Golders Green by trying to enter Jewish shops while chanting anti-Israeli slogans.

English Jews were already the frequent targets of Muslim and Leftist anti-Semitic attacks. Maybe it’s time to come to America where at least 60% people don’t hate Jews. That’s better than England I bet.

This recent attack in France should thouroughly disgust you:

Fears that the conflict in Gaza could spark violence between Jews and Muslims in France have been heightened as three teenagers were arrested yesterday for an alleged anti-Semitic attack on a 15-year-old girl.

An inquiry was launched after the victim said she was insulted, knocked to the ground, kicked and punched by a gang of 10 youths as she left Leon Blum school in Villiers-le-Bel north of Paris.

Three of her alleged attackers – aged between 13 and 15 and all from her own school – were arrested on suspicion of ‘aggravated violence and anti-Semitic insults’, according to a police source.

The girl said they had told her they were seeking to avenge Palestinians in Gaza as they set upon her on Monday.

The National Bureau of Vigilance against Anti-Semitism, said it had received about 100 reports of anti-Semitic insults and threats since the start of the conflict in Gaza. On Monday a stolen car was driven at high speed into the front gate of a synagogue in Toulouse, south west France, and set on fire.

The article goes on to state that there are around 4 million Muslims in France and about 700,000 Jews. The Muslims can probably rally twice that with the help of Leftist allies so French Jews are in a pretty bad position, especially given that the French government can barely maintian law and order now.

Everything old is new again it seems. Arm yourselves.

Russia’s New “Cold War”: Kremilin Cuts Gas Supplies to Europe During Harsh Winter Weather

We will see an increasing incidence of this sort of of economic warfare as the global economy slows and basket case states enmeshed in the global economy use what ever resources they can to blackmail money and other concessions from their neighbors. Russia’s move though has more than economic consequences, it can literally cost people their lives:

Fears of a deep chill spread across Europe yesterday after a row between Russia and Ukraine over gas prices cut supplies to the rest of the continent on a day of plummeting temperatures and heavy snowfalls.

The European Union said the situation was “completely unacceptable” as thousands of businesses were urged to switch fuels, and households struggled to keep warm in sub-zero temperatures. But there was no sign of an end to the standoff between Russia’s energy monopoly Gazprom and Ukraine, locked in battle since New Year’s Day.

Gazprom stopped pumping gas to Ukraine for domestic consumption on 1 January after the two countries failed to agree on a fixed price for 2009. The pipelines that cross Ukraine also carry gas to Europe but that continued to flow, until Moscow accused Ukraine of siphoning off Europe’s fuel and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin retaliated by ordering Gazprom to cut EU-bound exports by the amount being stolen.

Yesterday Russia stopped gas supplies through Ukraine to Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Macedonia. The government of Slovakia declared a national emergency; Austria and Italy reported falls of 90 per cent; France said Russian supplies had tailed off 70 per cent, and Germany also reported a decline although did not quantify it.

The Czech Republic, which took over the EU presidency this month, had sharp words for Moscow. “Drastically curbing deliveries this way is no solution to business disputes,” said Alexandr Vondra, the Czech Deputy Prime Minister. “It is impossible to hold other countries hostage.” He demanded the warring sides reach an agreement by the end of the week.

In Bulgaria, the government has declared a “crisis situation”. The country not only has the lowest GDP per capita in the EU, but relies on Russia for all of its gas.

“Everyone was sent home from school after the gas suddenly went off,” said Patrizia, an 18-year-old student in the provincial town of Pazardzhik, where the daytime temperature was minus 8C. “It’s the first time I remember this happening, there was no warning, and people are worried because they have no idea how long it will last.”

Douglas Erskine, a British expat, said many of Bulgaria’s seven million residents would struggle. “Houses are poorly insulated, the electricity supply is unpredictable, and the elderly will struggle to get coal and wood. In many towns and villages, people gather in cafés to keep warm because they can’t pay for heating at home. What will become of them if the heating goes off?”

Bakers say the price of bread could rise by 5 per cent because of gas shortages. The disruption has already forced two big fertiliser producers and a major brewery to stop production, and metals and pharmaceutical firms warned they may have to follow suit.

An EU delegation headed to Kiev for talks yesterday. Separate discussions are planned with Gazprom representatives today in Berlin.

There are talks and demands now, but how long before the E.U. will respond militarily to the Russians provocation? After a hard winter where hundreds of people freeze to death? There is already talk of “stronger intervention” from the E.U. which will not go over well with Putin’s Russia.

The Georgian invasion has emboldened Russia to the point where they may force Europe’s hand. Then I guess we’ll see if the Europeans are still against American foreign intervention.
