They’re claiming the kid is “uncooperative” (meaning she’s probably terrified of these scumbags who are still on the loose) so they are having a hard time proceeding. You be the judge on whether or not that’s a steaming load of horse manure:
The Broward State Attorney’s Office has decided not to file criminal charges against two of the men accused of participating in the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
The state attorney’s office said the victim in the case has been uncooperative.
James Hunte and Ryan Johnson will not face charges, even though Plantation Police reports indicated that both men admitted receiving a sex act from the girl.
Prosecutors say they are still investigating two other men accused of participating in the attack.
The teen told police she went to the apartment with a man she knew on April 19. Later, she claimed, five other men entered the bedroom and “forced her to have either oral sex and/or sexual intercourse with them individually.”
All the while, the teen said the men snapped photos of the activities. Police recovered a digital camera at the crime scene and discovered photos of the girl engaged in sex acts.
But don’t worry, it turns out the uncharged Ryan Johnson is a swell guy:
According to a police report, Ryan Johnson told detectives he thought the girl was “18-19 years of age.” Johnson also told police during the sex act “he noticed the victim crying and discontinued receiving oral sex.”
That makes it O.K. I guess. I mean, he thought the teen was of consenting age and thus able and willing to be photographed while being sexually abused by random people she never met. And of course she was probably smiling when he entered the room, and only started crying after he began orally sodomizing her. That’s a story that makes perfect sense. And sounds a lot like a confession.
What About Our Daughters has a decent action plan if you want to advocate for justice in this case. She’s helping out even though the victim isn’t Black, a point she makes a little too much for my taste but then again she had jumped the gun on this and assumed the girl was Black originally. Frankly race should make no difference in a brutal case like this, but with some people it always will.
Here’s a video report if you can stomach it. Prosecutors should be making these degenerates’ lives a living hell, at least charging them with statutory rape and lewd conduct with a minor. Let’s at least get them on the Sex Offender Registry. But like the rapists themselves the authorities are blaming the victim for their inability to keep law and order on their streets.
Michael J. Satz is the State Attorney General so he’s a good place to begin inquires. Keep it civil people, but Florida is usually tougher on sex crimes than this. Ask him what the deal is.

This is outrageous. I was under the impression that statutory rape can be prosecuted without the testimony or cooperation of the victim. While not as ideal as prosecuting for the more serious charge of forcible rape, at least they could get these guys on something.
